Baseball in Seoul Jamsil Stadium

When you think of baseball many names come to mind; New York Yankees, Boston Red Soxs, Chicago Cubs and many more, but not normally the LG Twins or Doosan Bears. However for Korean baseball fans these are the main two teams to pledge your support too.

Luckily both the LG Twins and the Doosan Bears play their home games at the same stadium, the Jamsil Baseball Stadium (잠실야구장) in Seoul, which played host to a number of games during the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Similarly to the MLB the Korean Baseball season runs from Spring to Fall.

Going to watch a game is a really fun experience for a number of reasons; firstly the quality of the baseball played is high and the action is fast paced. Secondly you can bring your own beer (BYOB) which is a great way to start a Saturday night out in Seoul. Also tickets are cheap with adult tickets ranging from 7000 in the outfield to 15000 near the dugouts. Finally there’s a wide range of out things to keep you occupied from fast food restaurants to kpop style female cheerleaders.
