As this week is Japanese week here at Modern Seoul Magazine, we thought we would suggest a great Japanese restaurant in the heart of western Seoul just down the road for Sinchon Station as well as Hongdae. The restaurant is called California and serves a range of Japanese dishes from Sushi to Noddles and many more. Everything is priced reasonable nothing is much over ₩10,000 and most things are under. Here are a few examples:

The Food

Some lovely Chicken Katsu
California Seoul – Spicy Noodles
Its Korean, there had to be some Kimchi

You can also buy a range of different drinks from Hot Sake to Beer to Soda, water of course is free. In my opinion the food was really good value and tasted great, however I found that it was more Korean in style than authentic Japanese. Still it was tasty and that at the end of the day is what really matters.

If your interested in checking it out here is a map of its location. Basically from Sinchon Station take exit 3 toward Yonsei University and when you get to the first major road crossing, cross and turn right continue and take the first left and it’s right there.

Do you like the idea of all you can eat Sushi and live in Suwon then this article maybe of interest to you: All You Can Eat Sushi and More…
