Well today is the day many have been dreading and preparing for the past week. Typhoon Bolaven hit Jeju Island in the early hours this morning before hitting Busan around breakfast time and Seoul around 2pm. The good news is that there has been relatively no major damage so far. A few building have had windows broken, trees have been uprooted and sadly a couple of Chinese fisherman died due to the bad weather (Reuters Article Here).
Of course the wind is still very strong at the moment and it is expected to continue well into the evening but hopefully die down in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
There have been reports also of a second Typhoon coming next week from Taiwan. We will post more information as and when it becomes available either here or on our Facebook page facebook.com/modernseoul
