Candy and chocolate in South Korea is sadly pretty weak. They either taste cheap and like chalk or are overly sour. But now we’ve found Market O Classic Mini Chocolate. Each box is 45grams and the chocolate is a nice 40% cocoa. The regular price is around ₩1,500 however because this is a new product many places have it on special, we personally paid just ₩1,000 for a box.
The chocolate is sweet but not to rich. The taste is similar to Cadbury’s Dairy Milk or a sweeter version of Hershey’s Chocolate. The individual chocolates make it easy to share as well as a small bag snack. Overall we really like them, cheap tasty chocolate what’s not to like? 🙂

Modern Seoul
My friend just came back from a Korea trip and gave me this chocolate as souvernier. It taste so good, the mini bar with 8 sections is so cute. Where can I buy this chocolate in New York?
I doubt that you can find them in NY, however Korean Town (which is around 31st and 33rd street) might have a store that stocks them.
Hey there I’m from Singapore and happened to pass by your blog.
I just travelled to Seoul few days back and overheard raves from some random strangers on the street regarding Market O chocolate. Took the risks to buy a few big boxes back including their brownies despite my fully loaded luggage and now I’m back and amazed by its exquisite taste and texture. Comparable to the usual expensive chocolate.
Your post once again proved that I’d made the right decision to try. Your blog is cool! Keep it up! 😀
