For this weeks KPOP Song of the Week we’ve chosen “Tears” (눈물) by LeeSsang (리쌍) feat. Eugene (유진). This song was officially released at the end of January and has been slowly climbing the different KPOP charts. We have a few good reasons for choosing “Tears” for our song of the week.
- Firstly the video effectively tells an interesting story and relates really well to the songs lyrics. The split screen action and memories flashbacks help build a picture of both the good and bad times during the relationship.
- Secondly the song itself is not over powering or overproduced and so gives an honest feel.
- Finally all 3 vocalists are very different but compliment each other well and none of them over power each other.
- On the negative side, the dramatic video is nice but sadly doesn’t feature the singers which is a shame (a second version below does feature the singers).
