As the K League Classic season has now settled down and everyone has had a chance to show their hands, we are need able and confindent about sharing our thought and feelings about the up coming fixtures.
This weekend is round 6 and see’s 5 Saturday and 2 Sunday games (fixtures listed above). Here is a brief preview of each plus our prediction:
K League Classic Round 6:
Gyeongnam vs. Pohang (Saturday 2pm)
The only two undefeated K League Classic teams meet in the first game of the weekend early Saturday afternoon. Both teams have strong defensive records however neither has been scoring for fun in the past couple of weeks. It looks a like a draw is the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Chunnam vs. Daejeon (Saturday 3pm)
Chunnam are still looking for their first win of the season and are currently joint bottom with 2 points. Daejeon have done a little better including a good win away vs. Incheon 2 weeks ago. However Chunnam are improving and will be motivated to at least score their first goal at home so far this season, so a score draw is a likely result.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Daegu vs. Incheon United (Saturday 3pm)
Daegu come into this game still looking to gain their first win of 2013. They have however drawn 3 of their 5 games. Incheon started the season impressively with away wins over FC Seoul and Seongnam, however their last 2 games where disappointing. However we feel that Incheon will edge this one.
Prediction: 1 – 2
Jeju United vs. Gangwon (Saturday 3pm)
The 3rd 3pm Saturday kick off is on picturesque Jeju Island. Jeju have started the season well whilst Gangwon have looked a little disorganized. We think Jeju will win this one without much of a problem.
Prediction: 2 – 0
Ulsan vs. Busan I Park (Saturday 4pm)
Saturdays last game is again in the South with reigning Asian champions Ulsan hosting Busan. Ulsan have been solid all season whilst Busan have been a little unpredictable so far. We feel Ulsan should edge it but it does depend on which Busan turns up.
Prediction: 1 – 0
Jeonbuk vs. Seongnam (Sunday 2pm)
The first of Sundays double headed seeing 4th placed Jeonbuk host bottom of the league Seongnam. Jeonbuk have done this season is the K League Classic but haven’t fared so well in the AFC Champions League. Seongnam have been disappointing. We feel that Jeonbuks form will continue and that they’ll win.
Prediction: 3 – 1
Suwon Bluewings vs. FC Seoul (Sunday 2pm)
The weekends big game comes between the K League Classics two biggest and most popular teams. Top of the table Suwon come into the game on a good run of form as shown by their league position. Current Champions FC Seoul are not doing so well with 3 draws and 2 defeats from there opening 5 games, they all have the worst defensive record in the league. Still they are still dangerous and we can’t give either the edge, so a score draw is our prediction.
Prediction: 2 – 2
