One of the best ways of telling whether or not Spring has finally arrived in South Korea is with Cherry Blossom. In South Korea sadly we don’t have a shadow sensitive groundhog so cherry blossoms are the next best thing. Last weekend they where meant to start but because of the longer than normal winter they were delayed by a few days. However now all over South Korea cherry blossoms are coming into full bloom.
Some older Korean’s dislike Cherry Blossoms because of it’s relation to Japan and past Japanese rule of South Korea, however this an uncommon viewpoint and most Koreans enjoy the Cherry Blossoms.

We took a few pictures whilst walking around in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon. But they are a common sight in many parts of Seoul and pretty much the whole of South Korea. Enjoy:

Love this time of year, these cherry trees are so beautiful!
hi….. how about this week….. does cherry blossoms still around?
They where basically all gone at the start of the week and after the rain today I doubt you’ll easily see any. Sorry, it’s basically just for a couple of weeks a year.
