K League Classic 2013 Round 13

This weekend is round 12 of the Korean K League Classic 2013 . This weekend is the last full fixture weekend before the mid-season summer break, games will resume at the end of June. There are 3 games being played on Saturday and 4 games on Sunday (fixtures listed above). Here is a brief preview of each game plus our prediction:

K League Classic Round 13:

Ulsan vs. Gyeongnam (Saturday 2pm)

Saturdays early game sees high flying Ulsan host Gyeongnam. Ulsan are on good form winning their last 2 games whilst Gyeongnam haven’t done so well winning one but losing 3 of their last 4. We honestly think this game will go with the form book and Ulsan will gain 3 points.

Prediction: 2 – 1

Busan I’Park vs. Incheon United (Saturday 4pm)

The 1st of Saturdays 4pm kick offs pits mid table Busan against surprise package Incheon United (4th). Busan are riding a wave of great form recently and are undefeated in 8 games in all competitions W4 D4 L0. Incheon on the other hand have all won 1 in their last 4 W1 D2 L1, however their away form is the best in the league. So we feel that this game will be a draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Daejeon Citizen vs. Seongnam (Saturday 4pm)

The last of Saturdays games has lowly Daejeon host mid table Seongnam. Seongnam ended a 2 game losing streak last weekend with a game win vs. Geongnam. Whilst Daejeon drew against bottom of the league Daegu. This is a tough game to predict as both teams could win, however sadly a draw is the most likely outcome.

Prediction: 0 – 0

Gangwon vs. Jeonbuk Motors (Sunday 2pm)

This early Sunday game sees lowly Gangwon (12th) host 6th placed Jeonbuk Motors. Jeonbuk didn’t have a great week as they crashed out of the AFC Champions league and their league form hasn’t been much better with only 1 win in their last 4 games. Gangwons recent improvement faulted last weekend with a 1-0 defeat vs. Incheon. We honestly think Jeonbuk win bring home all 3 points.

Prediction: 0 – 2

Pohang Steelers vs. Daegu (Sunday 2pm)

This game could be very interesting as top of the league Pohang host winless and bottom of the league Daegu. Pohang lost their undefeated record last weekend losing 2-1 vs. Ulsan, whilst Daegu could only draw against fellow relegation zone opponents Daejeon. On paper this is a home banker however football isn’t always predictable. Having said that we’re still siding with Pohang.

Prediction: 3 – 0

Chunnam Dragons vs. Suwon Bluewings (Sunday 3pm)

The improved Chunnam Dragons host Suwon in one of Sundays mid afternoon games. Chunnam are currently undefeated in their last 8 games W3 D5 L0 but are still down in 10th. Suwon (5th) aren’t doing as well losing their last 2 games.  Therefore we’re siding with an unset and predicting Chunnam to gain all 3 points (just)

Prediction: 1 – 0

Jeju United vs. FC Seoul (Sunday 3pm)

2nd placed Jeju Untied host reigning champions FC Seoul in the last game of the weekend. FC Seoul had an awful start to the season however they’ve won 3 of their last 4 and are slowly moving up the table. Jeju United on the other hand are doing well and having the best defense in the league conceding just 9 goal all season. We’re therefore siding with Jeju.

Prediction: 2 – 1
