K League Classic 2013 Round 18

We’re now moving into round 18 of the K League Classic and this weekend all of the 7 games are being played on Saturday. Also there are two déjà vu games rematches between teams who played each other during the week in the Korean FA Cup (KFA Cup). Full Details of the Cup can be found below.
Here are our predictions, sorry no real previews again this week as we’re super busy ~ it maybe raining but it’s still the summer 🙂 :

K League Classic Round 18:

Chunnam Dragons vs. FC Seoul (Saturday 5pm)

This is a crunch mid table clash between these 9th and 10th place teams. Chunnam suffered a disappointing defeat during the week vs. Suwon City FC and FC Seoul only just beat Gwangju after extra time. We siding with the form book and siding with a draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Busan I’Park vs. Jeonbuk Motors (Saturday 7pm)

Jeonbuk travel to Busan on the back of 2 nice wins over Pohang and Ulsan. Busan also come in on good form winning during the week vs. Gangwon and draw there previous 2 league games. However we feel that Jeonbuk will take the 3 points home.

Prediction: 1 – 2

Gangwon vs. Gyeongnam (Saturday 7pm)

Gangwon lost in the cup mid week but are undefeated in the league in their last 4 games. Gyeongnam on the other hand won in the 1-0 over Goyang Hi but have lost their last 3 league games. This one has a draw written all over it (maybe)

Prediction: 0 – 0

Jeju United vs. Suwon Bluewings (Saturday 7pm)

A rematch of Wednesdays FA Cup game which Jeju United won. Both teams have pretty mixed form recently so this is a hard one to call, so we’re going to Suwon to gain revenge for their cup defeat.

Prediction: 0 – 1

Seongnam vs. Pohang Steelers (Saturday 7pm)

This is the other cup rematch, which Pohang Steelers won after a penalty shootout. Both teams have similar form however we feel that Pohang maybe to strong overall for Seongnam.

Prediction: 0 – 2

Incheon United vs. Daegu (Saturday 7.30pm)

Daegu come into this game fresh (already out of the cup) and on good form W2, D1, L1 from their last 4 games. Incheon won in the cup AET vs. Sangju Sangmu and their recent league form has been good. We’re siding with Incheon mainly due to Daegu’s awful away record of W0, D1, L7.

Prediction: 2 – 0

Ulsan Hyundai vs. Daejeon Citizen (Saturday 7.30pm)

Daejeon finally ended their losing run last weekend drawing vs. Busan 0-0. Ulsan however are 2nd and apart from losing in the Cup have looked good recently. So we’re going with Ulsan.

Prediction: 3 – 1
