Hello any and welcome to another Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week. This week we’ve chosen “Rum Pum Pum Pum” (첫 사랑니) by F(X) (에프엑스). It was released this past Wednesday July 24th and has already been viewed over 3.5millon times so far on YouTube (that’s roughly 1million views a day). Here are our reasons for choosing “Rum Pum Pum Pum” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is catchy, fun and a perfect summer tune.
- Secondly the videos style matches the song and it’s in a familiar f(x) style.
- Finally F(X) have stayed true to their style and haven’t gone down a strange new road.
- On the negative side; the video is a little safe and doesn’t really include any story but that’s only a tiny issue.

FX or 에프엑스, started in 2009. The group is has 5 members from around the world (sort of) there are 2 Americans (Amber and Krystal), 2 Koreans (Luna and Sulli) and 1 Chinese (Victoria). They gained quick success and although they’ve all been involved in solo projects they seem to be back together for Summer 2013 at least.

I just listened to this song once, but I will be singing it all day. I love this new song by F(x). My fav’s Sulli and Amber. Kudos to the wardrobe department!! I don’t think there is anything they lack! Talent…. they have it, Colorful statement…without a doubt, Dance skills and timing..absofreekinlutly! Killer combination for another F(x) winner!!!
