The K League Classic is back after a little over 2 weeks due to the East Asian Cup. This midweek Round 20 features all 14 teams (Fixtures Above).
Here are our predictions, sorry no real previews as it’s a full midweek round (sorry):
K League Classic Round 20:
Daegu vs. Jeonbuk Motors (Wednesday 7pm)
12th placed Daegu host 3rd placed Jeonbuk Motors in the 1st game of the evening. Daegu won their last game and have been much improved recently, however Jeonbuk are also on a good run of 3 wins and a draw in there last 4 games, they did however lose vs. Lyon in France a little over a week ago. Still we think Jeonbuk will take home the 3 points.
Prediction: 1 – 2
Chunnam Dragons vs. Seongnam (Wednesday 7.30pm)
11th placed Chunnam Dragons host 9th placed Seongnam with both teams thankful for the recent break. Chunnam have lost 3 of their last 4, drawing 1. Seongnam only fared a little better losing 2, drawing 1 and winning 1 of their last 4. This all this in mind we’re siding with a draw.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Daejeon Citizen vs. Incheon United (Wednesday 7.30pm)
Bottom of the league Daejeon host 4th placed Incheon this Wednesday. Daejeon’s only win of the season come in the reserve fixture back in March and they’ll be hoping for a repeat of that. Incheon have been a little inconsistent in their last few games, but should have the power to take home all 3 points.
Prediction: 0 – 2
FC Seoul vs. Jeju United (Wednesday 7.30pm)
6th Placed FC Seoul will be hoping to continue their mid season revival when they face 7th placed Jeju United. FC Seoul have won their last 3 games, whilst Jeju sadly have failed to win. We honestly feel that FC Seoul will edge this one.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Pohang Steelers vs. Gangwon (Wednesday 7.30pm)
2nd placed face a slight banana skin of the game when they take on 13th placed Gangwon. Pohang had been a little out of sorts for a few weeks but that seemed to have disappeared when they beat Suwon. Gangwon haven’t had a good season so far, but were a little unlucky to lose in their last game vs. FC Seoul. Still we think that Pohang will win.
Prediction: 2 – 1
Suwon Bluewings vs. Busan I’Park (Wednesday 7.30pm)
5th Placed Suwon Bluewings take on 8th placed Busan I’Park at the Big Bird Stadium this Wednesday. Both sides have very similar form with a mixture of wins, draws and losses. So this one is a little hard to call, so we’re going to sit on the face a opt for a draw.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Gyeongnam vs. Ulsan Hyundai (Wednesday 8pm)
10th placed Gyeongnam host current league leaders Ulsan Hyundai in the late game. Gyeongnam finally won their last game after a run of 4 without a win. Ulsan have been a great form recently with 4 wins and a draw from their last 5 league games. They did however lose in the KFA Cup. Still we feel that Ulsan should edge this.
Prediction: 0 – 1
