K League Classic 2013 Round 21

The K League Classic now moves into round 21 of the regular season and with only 6 games now until the split every game is must win. The Fixtures are listed above.
Here are our brief previews of each game as well as predictions for this K League Classic Round 21:

K League Classic Round 21:

Busan I’Park vs. Gyeongnam (Saturday 7pm)

8th Placed Busan I’Park will be hoping to bounce back from a midweek defeat when this host 11th placed Gyeongnam. Gyeongnam also lost during the week and face the difficult task of trying to improve their away record, which currently stands at 0W 5D 5L. With this noted we feel that Busan will edge this one.

Prediction: 1 – 0

FC Seoul vs. Suwon Bluewings (Saturday 7pm)

As far as K League Classic games go this is the “BIG ONE”, FC Seoul vs. Suwon is always one of the biggest attendances of the season and the rivalry on the field always makes for an interesting game. The two sides are currently next to each other in the league and only a single point separates them. FC Seoul are currently on a 4 game winning run but Suwon are also finding form. So we’re going to side with an exciting draw.

Prediction: 2 – 2

Jeju United vs. Chunnam Dragons (Saturday 7pm)

7th Placed Jeju United have suffered a real drop in form recently and haven’t won in 4 games. They host 10th placed Chunnam Dragons who ended their 5 game winless run on Wednesday beating Seongnam. However we feel that Jeju’s strong home form will give them the slight edge this weekend.

Prediction: 2 – 1

Daegu vs. Pohang Steelers (Saturday 7pm)

12 placed Daegu suffered a slight setback in their relegation battle during the week losing at home vs. Jeonbuk. 2nd placed Pohang Steelers on the other hand at a great return to K League Classic action as they beat Gangwon 4 – 0. We feel that Pohang should be able to take home the 3 points this week.

Prediction: 0 – 1

Incheon United vs. Ulsan Hyundai (Saturday 7.30pm)

4th placed Incheon United won a hard fought 3 points on Wednesday to keep their AFC Champions League dreams alive. League leaders also won during the week to maintain their 1 point lead. This is a very close game on paper as both teams are on strong form and so we’re going to sit on the fence a little a side with a draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Jeonbuk Motors vs. Gangwon (Sunday 7pm)

3rd Placed Jeonbuk won their 3rd away game in a row on Wednesday vs. Daegu. 13th placed Gangwon on the other hand were soundly beaten by an impressive Pohang 4 -0. Gangwon also have the worst away record in the league picking up just 4 point on the road this season. With this in mind we feel Jeonbuk will edge this one.

Prediction: 3 – 1

Seongnam vs. Daejeon Citizen (Sunday 7pm)

9th placed Seongnam come into this game desperately needing a win to keep there top half regular season finish dreams alive. Bottom of the league Daejeon will be hoping to gain just their 2nd win of the season and hopefully try and bridge part of the 5 point gap to 13th place (10 point to 11th place a 100% safety). This one could go either way but we’re going to take a risk and side with a shock Daejeon win, mainly because they looked much improved on Wednesday.

Prediction: 0 – 1
