For this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week we’ve chosen “Rain” (비) by Lim Kim (김예림). It was released this past Monday August 26th and has around 325,000 views so far on YouTube in under a week. Here are our reasons for choosing “Rain” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is sweet and peaceful, which matches the lyrics well.
- Secondly the video is cool and simple, also once again matches the song well. The spinning upside down umbrella is an interesting touch.
- Finally Lim Kim has been able to focus on her singing and hasn’t been turned into another KPOP clone idol.
- On the negative side; the video is a little boring at times.
