Today is a small milestone day as Modern Seoul turns 2 years old. Over the past 2 years we’ve grown, changed and hopefully improved a lot from those early days. Although people have come and gone and our visions and goal have changed overall it’s been an enjoyable experience so far.
There have been numerous highlights over the past 2 years related to Modern Seoul. Passing 100 likes on Facebook was a small but important moment as it was a point when we saw that interest and enjoyment was increasing and people were coming back :).
Secondly having people ask for your advice directly. Traveling to and especially living in South Korea isn’t always easy and so having people ask us for hints and tips to improve their experiences is a highlight of being involved in Modern Seoul.
Finally being able to create business links and opportunities both here in Korea and around the world. Although most we’ve not been able to take on, the ones we have (Fresh Korean being a particular highlight) have proved very enjoyable.
The Future for Modern Seoul
Our top overall goal is to increase the number of weekly posts, currently we’re publishing 3 or 4 but we’d like to increase that to at least 7 (or a daily post) by the end of the year.
Are second goal is to improve the overall look and feel of ModernSeoul.org but either upgrading our current WordPress base or by moving to an independent server. We’ve already started this process by joining WordAds and when it’s financially possible we’ll make the move.
Finally we’re looking at increasing our YouTube usage and try a little Vloging. We’re still a bit unsure about doing this as Video Editing is hard and time consuming plus the loss of anonymity. We’ll trial it over the next few months and see how it goes.
A big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 2 years and as ever if you have any questions, comments, requests or suggestions please feel free to let us know. Either by commenting below, via Twitter or Facebook.
Once again thank you and have a nice weekend.
