Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week. This week we’ve chosen the new release by VIXX (빅스) called “Voodoo Doll” (저주인형). It was released on this past Tueday November 19th and has amassed just over 750,000 views so far on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “Voodoo Doll” for our song of the week:
- Firstly the song is strong and has a good tune. It also has a good pace and buildup.
- Secondly the video it pretty dark with scenes of torture which links well with the song and VIXX’s style.
- Finally VIXX have gone back to their Gothic / vampire themed style, like in Hyde and we personally like it.
- On the negative side; some of the scenes are a little graphic, not something you want young children watching.
