Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week. This week we’ve chosen the new release by Hyolyn (효린) called “Lonely” (론리). It was released on this past Monday November 25th and has amassed just over 670,000 views so far on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “Lonely” for our song of the week:
- Firstly the song has a nice flow from start to finish and an enjoyable simple melody.
- Secondly the video is pretty fun and interesting, showing some strange scenes from around London.
- Finally Hyolyn is always strong either when with Sistar or working alone and it doesn’t change here.
- On the negative side; This song has been released at the same time as a number of other Hyolyn songs and so it might great a little lost.
