Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, the third of 2014. This week we’ve chosen the new release by Gary (개리) best known from the band LeeSsang and TV Show Running Man. The song is titled “Zotto Mola” (XX몰라). It was released on Tuesday January 14th and in those 5 days it has already gained over 775,000 views on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “Zotto Mola” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is honest and shows a different side to Gary.
- Secondly the video is simple yet powerful, and matches the song well.
- Finally Gary’s recent releases have been a little more personal and it’s been well received by his fans.
- On the negative side; it might get lost in the colorful and slightly plastic KPOP world.
