Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, the first for February 2014. This week we’ve chosen the long awaited new release by Spica (스피카). The song is titled “You Don’t Love Me” and it was released one week ago on Sunday January 26th. In the last week it has already been viewed over 540,000 times on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “You Don’t Love Me” for our KPOP song of the week:

  • Firstly the vocals are amazing and showcase a great mix of Soul and RnB.
  • Secondly the video is interesting with some interesting shots and dancing routines.
  • Finally this is a long awaited release by Spica who many people are tipping to lead a new KPOP wave of strong vocals and reduced bubblegum.
  • On the negative side; it might get overlooked because it’s not really KPOP style, which is a shame.
