Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, the third for February 2014. This week we’ve chosen the new release by Boy Group BTS (방탄소년단). The song is titled “Boy in Luv” and it was released this past Tuesday February 11th. In the 5 days it has already been viewed over 410,000 times on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “Boy in Luv” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song has a nice blend of rap, hip hop and RnB.
- Secondly the video has an interesting if a little strange love story.
- Finally BTS are a strong group with a powerful and honest sound. Their fans should like this release.
- On the negative side; the video is a little boring and repetitive at times.
