Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, the second for March 2014. This week we’ve chosen the new hit by 2NE1. The song is titled “Come Back Home” and it was released last Sunday March 2nd. In that week it’s been viewed over 3,700,000 times on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “Come Back Home” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song combines fantastic vocals with simple plus an added futuristic vibe which works perfectly.
- Secondly the video looks like a trailer for a Hollywood blockbuster you’d love to see. It’s maybe the best of 2014 so far.
- Finally 2NE1 are KPOP royalty and so everything they release has to be up to standard. This is easily at that mark.
- On the negative side; The release date means it’s a little in the shadow of Girls’ Generation.
