Korean food includes a wide range of different and wonderful things. Mandu (만두) is one of the most popular and one of our personal favorites. It is similar to the European pelmeni and pierogi, as it is a dough stuffed with vegetables, meat and a range of other things. Mandu is normally steamed and comes in a range of sizes. Here we have one of the bigger sizes the Wang (왕) or King Mandu.
Wang Mandu can be found everywhere in Korea and it a popular street food as well as something you can buy on the way home. The prices range but normally it’s around ₩3000 for 6. The best way to spot Mandu Stores are by the large steamers outside of the store.
