Before looking at the previews and predictions for this weeks round 8, here is updated an updated K League Challenge 2014 league table:

K League Challenge 2014 League Table May 9th

After round 7’s matches the league changed a little bit and has become even tighter. Daejeon still lead the way with 16 points from their 7 games. The we have 5 teams (2nd to 6th) separated by only 1 point; Daegu, Goyang Hi, FC Anyang, Ansan Police and Suwon City. There’s then a 2 point gap down to Gwangju. Gangwon have moved up to 8th, Chungju fall down to 9th and Bucheon are still at the bottom with just a single point. The table is still pretty tight and a win could jump teams a couple of places (at least) up the table.

Saturday May 10th

Gangwon vs. Gwangju (2pm)

8th placed Gangwon take on 7th placed Gwangju in this early Saturday afternoon clash.
Gangwon won their 2nd straight game last weekend 3-1 away vs. Chungju Hummel
Gwangju lost last weekend at home 2-1 vs. Goyang Hi.
Both teams are only a single point apart, so this one will be close and most likely a draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Bucheon 1995 vs. Goyang Hi (4pm)

Bottom club Bucheon 1995 face surprise package and currently 3rd placed Goyang Hi on Saturday afternoon.
Bucheon 1995 didn’t play last weekend but 2 weeks ago lost vs. Daejeon Citizen 2-1 at home.
Last weekend Goyang Hi beat Gwangju 2-1 away from home.
This should be a close game, but based on league form Goyang Hi should edge it.

Prediction: 1 – 2

Suwon City vs. Daegu (4pm)

6th placed Suwon City take on 2nd placed Daegu in this late Saturday game. Although the sides are 5 places apart in the table, they are only separated by a single point.
Suwon City won away to FC Anyang 2-0 last weekend.
Daegu draw away last weekend 0-0 vs. current league leaders Daejeon Citizen.
This game could go either way but we feel a draw is the most likely outcome.

Prediction: 0 – 0
