Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, the second for May 2014. This week we’ve chosen the new release from EXO. The song is titled “Overdose” () and it was released just a few days ago on Tuesday May 6th. Since then it has been viewed around 5,500,000 times on YouTube (which is over a million a day!). Here are our reasons for choosing “Overdose” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song has a cool RnB type sound with fantastic vocals and harmonies.
- Secondly the video is energetic, with some excellent choreography and has a high production value.
- Finally EXO are fast becoming one of the top KPOP Boy Bands and always produce quality.
- On the negative side; the video doesn’t really have much (or any) story line.
