A while ago when in Sangdong the shopping heart of Bucheon we took a risk and went for lunch at Machhapuchhre an Indian Restaurant. Unlike the UK (as well as many other countries) Indian food isn’t available easily in Korea and normally you have to go to a large center to find some. Bucheon strangely has a few but Machhapuchhre is next to the subway station and so we thought why not just go here.
Thoughts: Firstly the location is super easy to find and convenient. The service was friendly and the staff spoken good English and Koren. The prices were reasonable and similar to other Indian places we’ve been to in Korea. The food was also good, but was maybe lacking a little flavor that you’re expecting from a curry. Overall it’s “good” in all areas but not great. If you live in the area it’s well worth checking out but it’s not maybe worth traveling hours for.

Firstly a few shots from around the restaurant and the menu:
Secondly the Food (Curry, Rice and Naan Bread) and Lassi (Indian Milkshakes):
Location and Directions to Machhapuchhre Indian Restaurant
Directions: If you’re taking the Subway you need to go to Sang Dong Station (Line 7) and take exit 3. It’s inside the first building on your right, on the 2nd floor basically above Lotteria. This map should fill in the gaps but it’s pretty easy to find.
