K League Challenge 2014 Round 12 Previews & Predictions

Here are brief previews and predictions for this Weekends (and Mondays) 5 games. It’s also worthwhile noting that all of the games are being played in the evening as the league has now entered summertime and it’s to hot during the day.

Saturday May 31st

Goyang Hi vs. Daejeon Citizen (7pm)

The first game of the weekend has league leaders Daejeon Citizen traveling to 3rd placed Goyang Hi.
Goyang Hi won for the first time in 4 games and are now back in the playoff places.
Daejeon haven’t lost in the league since the start of the season and are 12 points clear at the top.
This game is a battle of Brazilians with the leagues top two scorers on display Alex (Goyang) and Adriano (Daejeon)

Prediction: 1 – 2

Suwon City vs. FC Anyang (7pm)

In Saturdays second game 5th placed FC Anyang travel to 6th placed Suwon City.
Suwon have only 1 win in their last 5 games. Which was against Anyang.
Anyang won for the first time in 4 games last weekend.
This one will be very close with neither side on good form. We honestly see it ending in a draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Sunday June 1st

Gangwon vs. Bucheon 1995 (7pm)

The first of Sundays games has 8th placed Bucheon 1995 traveling to 2nd placed Gangwon.
Gangwon have finally found consistent form and have 5 wins in 6 games.
Bucheon are unbeaten in 4 games with 1 draw and 3 wins.
Both sides are in form however Gangwon are at home so we see them edging this one.

Prediction: 2 – 1

Chungju Hummel vs. Gwangju (7pm)

Sundays second game features 7th placed Gwangju traveling to bottom club Chungju Hummel.
Chungju have only won twice all season and have the worst defensive record in the league.
Gwangju have lost 3 of their last 4 games, but did at least draw last weekend.
Both sides desperately need a win but sadly we feel this one will end in a draw.

Prediction: 2 – 2

Monday June 2nd

Daegu vs. Ansan Police (7.30pm)

In the solo Monday fixture 4th placed Goyang Hi host 9th placed Ansan Police.
Daegu only have 1 win from their last 5 games.
Due to the Sewol ferry disaster Ansan Police haven’t played any home games recently and have 4 games in hand over the top sides. However they haven’t won in 4 games.
This one will be close and Ansan will be still be lacking a little match fitness.

Prediction: 0 – 0
