On a recent trip to Ewha Women’s University in Seoul we stopped for a relaxing coffee at Paul Bassett Barista Coffee. Paul Bassett is a new trend of slightly higher quality and better produced coffee, similar to starbucks. However unlike Starbucks the coffee is not overly expensive and you’re not drowning in an ocean of different options.
Thoughts: Firstly the coffee shop itself is nicely designed with a modern feel which is at the same time also quite homely. Secondly the coffee, it’s really tasty with both a nice smell and character. Finally the only slight negative is that everything apart from the coffee is pretty expensive. However it’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee if you’re a student or just visiting the area.

Location and Links
Firstly here is a map of Paul Bassett Barista Coffee shop which is in the Ewha University area of Seoul. It’s pretty simple to get there from the subway. Take Exit 2 or 3 from Ewha University Station and head towards the university, it’s on the right. (it was previously Burger King);
Secondly here are a few useful links for more information, including details of other locations in South Korea and other parts of Asia / the world:
