K League Challenge 2014 Round 16 1

The K League Challenge moves into round 16 of the 2014 season, and with the K League Classic still on their summer break for another week so the Challenge is still the top source of domestic football. Of course due to the world cup being in full swing this preview will be brief.

Before looking at the previews and predictions for this weeks round 16, here is an updated K League Challenge 2014 league table:

K League Challenge 2014 League Table June 27th

After last weeks round of games the league table is basically unchanged however Daejeon have extended their lead at the top of the table and Ansan Police are slowly moved up the table (currently 8th).

K League Challenge 2014 Round 16 Previews & Predictions

Here are (extra) brief previews and predictions for this Weekends (including Monday) 5 games.

Saturday June 28th

FC Anyang vs. Chungju Hummel (7pm)

FC Anyang are unbeaten in their last 3 games, whilst Chungju haven’t won in 6.
Anyang are also very strong at home winning 5 of 7 this season.
This is Anyang’s to lose.

Prediction: 3 – 1

Goyang Hi vs. Bucheon 1995 (7pm)

Both Goyang and Bucheon haven’t won for at least the past few weeks.
However Bucheon do have a surprisingly good away record this season.
Honestly this looks like a draw.

Prediction: 1 – 1

Sunday June 29th

Suwon City vs. Gangwon (7pm)

Suwon and Gangwon have very similar (also the same) recent form and are only 2 points apart.
Suwon are pretty good at home whilst Gangwon are unpredictable away.
This looks like it will be close and a draw a like outcome.

Prediction: 0 – 0

Ansan Police vs. Daejeon Citizen (7.30pm)

At the start of the season you’d have bet good money these sides would be battling for the title. However Ansan haven’t had a good season so far.
Of course Ansan have only played once at home at season and so it’s difficult to tell form.
However Daejeon look so strong these days it’s hard to bet against them.

Prediction: 1 – 2

Monday June 30th

Gwangju vs. Daegu (7pm)

Gwangju haven’t won in 6 but have drawn 4 of those games. Daegu on the other hand have only lost recently to run away leaders Daejeon.
Neither side have strong home or away record so far this season.
Daegu should win this one but Gwangju won’t go down quietly.

Prediction: 0 – 1
