Before looking at the previews and predictions for this weeks round 17, here is an updated K League Challenge 2014 league table:
After last weeks round of games the league table is basically unchanged although the gaps in the middle were closed and Daejeon’s goal difference was cut down. Also Gangwon moved up a place and Chungju are now level with Bucheon at the bottom of the table.
K League Challenge 2014 Round 17 Previews & Predictions
Here are (extra) brief previews and predictions for this Weekends (including Monday) 5 games.
Saturday July 5th
FC Anyang vs. Bucheon 1996 (7pm)
FC Anyang have only won twice in their last 5 games, losing last weekend to bottom side Chungju.
Bucheon 1995 have lost their previous 4 games and currently have a better away record than their home.
This is really Anyang’s to lose.
Prediction: 3 – 1
Goyang Hi vs. Gwangju (7pm)
Both Goyang and Gwangju saw improvements last weekend with both sides recording much needed wins.
However Gwangju are pretty awful away from home and haven’t won on the road this season.
Because of this we see Goyang edging this one (just).
Prediction: 2 – 1
Sunday July 6th
Daejeon Citizen vs. Gangwon (7pm)
League leaders Daejeon Citizen host 3rd placed Gangwon in this top of the table clash.
Daejeon will be looking to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat by Ansan last weekend.
Gangwon are unbeaten in 4 but 3 of those where draws.
Daejeon have a fantastic unbeaten home record this season and we them keeping it.
Prediction: 2 – 0
Daegu vs. Suwon City (7pm)
The game features 2nd place Daegu and 5th placed Suwon City.
Daegu are looking to bounce back from back to back defeats, whilst Suwon were only able to draw their last two.
Neither side is bursting with confidence and therefore we see this being a draw.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Monday July 7th
Chungju Hummel vs. Ansan Police (7pm)
Ansan Police came alive last week and hammered leaders Daejeon, they’ll be hoping to continue that form.
Chungju will also be looking to continue strong form as they also won last weekend on the road vs. Anyang.
Although both sides are on improved form, Ansan should be able to overpower Chungju.
Prediction: 0 – 2
