Gyeyang Badminton Stadium Incheon Asian Games

The Incheon Asian games 2014 runs from the 19th of September to October 4th 2014. Athletes will complete in a range of different sports 36 in total. Two events which will gain a lot of attention and interest here in South Korea are the Badminton and Archery, as South Korea has strong medal hopes in both.

Firstly the Archery Stadium which is also known as the Gyeyang Asiad Archery Field. This venue has a capacity of 1,181.

Secondly we have the Badminton Stadium or Gyeyang Gymnasium, this location will also host the Karate. This venue has a larger capacity of 4,304.

Finally the Incheon International Velodrome is also in the same area just a little away from these stadiums (capacity 1,508). Also as the later gold medal events have already basically sold out there is a large grassed area with large screens for fans who wish to watch the events in the same area (pictured below).

Directions and Location of the Gyeyang Badminton Stadium and Archery Stadiums

As already mentioned this stadiums are next to each other and located in the Gyeyang which is a northern area of Incheon, South Korea. Sadly transport links aren’t great but it’s not a long way to walk from the Imhak Subway Station (Incheon Line 1).
Walking: Leave via exit and walk straight crossing the main road looking towards Lotte Mart, here turn left and walk straight past Homeplus then turn right and towards the Gyeyang District office building. From here turn left (walking East) and the stadiums are around 10-15minutes away.
Bus Options: There are a number of Bus Options, firstly from Seoul or Cheongna there is the 7700 which travels basically to the stadium entrance. From Imhak Station take the 87, from Gyesan Station take the 88, 588 or 80. Finally there is a shuttle bus that will run from Jakjeon Station Exit 5.

Also here is a map of the stadiums and surrounding area:

A rough address for these locations is: 855, Bongo-daero, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon.
