The K League Classic moves into the 30th round of the season, and with not much time left (4 games) in the main season (i.e. before the split) so every game is important. Also October is the final month of the main season.
K League Classic League Table
As there has now been 29 games played (so only 4 games to go in the main season) and everybody has played each other at least twice and the table to starting to take shape. So for reference here is the latest K League Classic 2014 League Table; including Games Played, Points and Goal Difference:
The league table does make for interesting reading and there are a number of tight areas. With so few games to go in the pre-split period of the season we’re going to have a quick look at that. Ulsan is the only side still able to reach the top half. All of the top half teams could be caught however only Jeonnam, Seoul and Jeju look in any potential trouble. In the relegation battle it’s still extremely tight and may end up settled on the final few games of the season.

Saturday October 4th 2014:
Jeonnam Dragons vs. Gyeongnam (2pm)
Saturdays first game is between 6th placed Jeonnam Dragons and 10th placed Gyeongnam.
Jeonnam have only won 1 in 5, and have lost 3 of those games.
Gyeongnam maybe 10th but have won 2 in 3 games. Including an impressive win over Pohang.
Gyeongnam maybe able to edge this one on current form.
Prediction: 0 – 2
Jeju United vs. Ulsan Hyundai (2pm)
Saturdays 2nd game is a clash between 4th placed Jeju United and 8th placed Ulsan Hyundai.
Jeju United have lost 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4 games.
Ulsan have only lost 1 of their last 5 games.
Although we see Ulsan being favorites, Jeju are good at home and so we see a draw being the likely outcome.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Seongnam FC vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai (4pm)
Saturdays 3rd game is a battle between 9th placed Seongnam FC and current league leaders Jeonbuk Hyundai.
Seongnam won for just the second time in 10 games during the week, they’re still the leagues lowest goalscorers.
Jeonbuk have won 2 but drawn 3 of their last 5 games.
Jeonbuk might not be on great form but they’re still league leaders for a reason and we see them winning this one.
Prediction: 0 – 1
Saturday October 4th 2014:
FC Seoul vs. Suwon Bluewings (2pm)
Sundays opening game is the “Big Match” between rivals 5th placed FC Seoul and 3rd placed Suwon Bluewings.
FC Seoul lost their semifinal Champions League match during the week, but their recent league form has been pretty good.
Suwon Bluewings are unbeaten in 8 with 4 wins and 4 draws.
This game is always interesting and an entertaining score draw looks the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 2 – 2
Pohang Steelers vs. Busan I’Park (2pm)
Sundays 2nd game is a clash between 2nd placed Pohang Steelers and bottom club Busan I’Park.
Pohang Steelers have lost 2 and draw 1 o their previous 3 games.
Busan I’Park have picked up 4 points from their last 2 games, but are still bottom of the league.
We feel Busan will put up a fight but Pohang will edge this one.
Prediction: 1 – 0
Incheon United vs. Sangju Sangmu (4pm)
Sundays final game is a relegation 6 pointer between 8th placed Incheon United and 11th placed Sangju Sangmu.
Incheon United have only 1 defeat in 5, but only 1 win.
