Premium Korean Plum Liquor – Seoljungmae

Like so many countries South Korea has a big drinking culture and therefore a wide range of domestically produced beverages. Today we’re going to look at a Premium Korean Plum Liquor called Seoljungmae (설중매). This drink is a little more refined than your normal soju or maehwasu, it has a cleaner and little abrasive taste. The bottle also has a few plums inside it to add some flavor and sweetness. The price point is closer to wine and a little more than beer so it’s perfect with a meal at home or casual drink with friends. Here are a few extra details;

Availability – Supermarkets and most good sized local marts. Some convenience stores sometimes stock in but not all.

Overall we really like this drink, and although might not drink it all the time it’s a nice treat every once and a while.
