South Korea like most countries has a rich and varied cuisine from the simple to the complex. Recently we went to a restaurant in Cheongna, Incheon called Michuhol (미추홀) which focuses on the famous dish called Budae Jjigae (부대찌개). Budae Jjigae is can be prepared in a number of different ways and includes a slightly different mixture of ingredients depending on where you go. At Michuhol is contains the main components; meat, vegetables, chilli powered, kimchi. noodles and stock. It’s boiled until cooked (maybe 10mins) and you then have a delicious stew. We had it with some Makkoli and rice.
For 2 people the whole meal and drinks set us back less than ₩30,000 ($30).
