Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, the third for November 2014. Although there were a number of very interesting new releases this week, we’ve chosen the new release by AOA. The song is titled “Like a Cat” and it was released on Monday November 10th. Since then the video has been viewed almost 2 million times on YouTube. Here are our reasons for choosing “Like a Cat” for our KPOP song of the week:

  • Firstly the song has a fun a quick tempo with both hip hop and dance themes. Plus some strong vocals.
  • Secondly the video has a fun little story about a diamond heist also with dance elements.
  • Finally AOA have really broken into the A List KPOP group during the past year and look set to stay.
  • On the negative side; the song has a few random elements such as rapping (poorly) in English which weren’t really necessary.
