Obviously Scotch Eggs is aren’t a Korean dish and we’re not making them in a Korean style, however they are a taste of Britain which you can’t easily find here in South Korea. Also unlike a number of other British classic Scotch Egg can be made pretty easily here as the ingredients required can be found at nearly every supermarket.
Also for those who don’t know Scotch Eggs are boiled eggs wrapped in pork meat and breadcrumb, then fried. They are great in lunchboxes and/or picnics or just as a snack. Finally they’re easy to make. Here are the ingredients required and a simple guide (with pictures) to making Scotch Eggs.

Here are the ingredients required to make our version of Scotch Eggs:
* Pork Mince (you could also use chicken, beef or vegetarian substitute)
* Hard Boiled Eggs (De-shelled)
* Plain Flour
* Bread Crumbs
* A Raw Egg
* Salt & Pepper
* Cooking Oil

Here is our 6 step guide to making simple scotch eggs at home, even here in South Korea;
1 – Mix together one egg.
2 – If you haven’t already de-shell your eggs. Then lightly cover them in flour.
3 – Cover the eggs with the good layer of meat.
4 – First cover the balls in egg wash and then roll in the bread crumbs until fully covered. Season them with salt and pepper.
5 – Lightly fry until the meat is fully cooked and the outsides turn a beautiful golden brown color.
6 – They are done and ready to enjoy.
