There are many interesting Museums to visit in Seoul, one of the more popular is The War Museum of Korea. This museum contains exhibits relating to both historic and more modern warfare. It’s interesting to see the level of Korean involvement in conflicts around the world as well as more domestic matters. There are also exhibits displaying interesting war and diplomacy related information on different countries (British information pictured below). Finally outside there are decommissioned aircraft, tanks and other military vehicles as well as rockets and statues, plus a nice little park.
Overall it is an interesting place to visit for a couple of hours if you’re in Seoul and entry is free.

The War Museum is pretty easy to get to. The best way is by subway, arrive at Samgakji Station (Lines 4 and 6) and leave via exit 12. Then walk straight around the corner and you’ll see the museum. The museum is also right next to the Yongsan US Military base. Here is a map to guide you;

I visited the War Museum twice (with different groups of travel buddies) and I always enjoyed it. I succeeded in combining the virtue of the historical and the modern which makes learning about history much more fun and interactive.
