Cheongna Canal Frozen Winter 2015

This weeks Photo Wednesday was taken in the Cheongna area of Incheon, South Korea. The photo shows the frozen canal in the center of this newly built international city. Winters are pretty long and cold here in South Korea and start in December and end in March. The ice is so thick at is point that some people even walk on it (not advised or legal). When the canal melts and starts to flow again that’s a good sign that Spring is here (as well as the cherry blossom).
