Korean Mountain Ginseng Wine Soju Label

Korea as an enjoyable and interesting drinking culture, and with that comes numerous different alcoholic beverages. Maybe the most famous is Soju, but it has it’s downsides (harsh taste, killer hangover etc). However these days there’s a growing range of different Korean Wines, for example we have this Korean Mountain Ginseng Wine / Soju.
This particular brand of Ginseng Wine / Soju is middle of range in cost around 3000 ($3) per 375ml bottle, which is similar to a beer. The alcoholic content is 13% so similar to wine. We found it at our local Homeplus next to the Sojus.
It tastes nice and isn’t overpowering with either the ginseng or the alcohol. The taste is quite earthy and natural. It works well with galbi or samgyupsal, or just enjoyed on a Friday evening after a long week at work. It’s well worth trying and it won’t break the bank either.
