Every year since 2010 Korean brewery Hite-Jinro releases a special edition beer under it’s Max Beer brand. In 2014 there were 2 releases firstly a Czech Special Hop as well as a re-release of the popular 2013 German style called Oktoberfest Special Hop. Both of these beers are slightly more expensive but also (in our opinion) nicer than the regular Max Beer. Both are still available now in most supermarkets here in South Korea and in either 355ml or 500ml cans. But maybe not for much longer so if you’re interested in trying it buy it sooner rather than later.
There’s been no word on what the 2015 special will be, however British (2012), New Zealand (2011) and/or Africa (2010) could return or a new variety. A Belgium or dutch version you’d think would both popular and tasty.
