Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our fourth for February 2015. Although there were a number of interesting new releases recently, we’ve chosen the big solo debut release from Amber (from FX) and featuring Tae-Yeon (SNSD). The song is titled “Shake That Brass“ and it was released on Thursday February 12th. In that time it has been viewed over 4 million times on the SMTown YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Shake That Brass” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song here is a go flow, fun lyrics and Amber’s vocals and rapping at really strong and enjoyable to listen to.
- Secondly the video is fun and features a star studded cast of cameo KPOPers.
- Finally Amber is maybe the most popular member of FX these days and this is a strong debut release, but it does leave room to grow.
- On the negative side; Tae-Yeon steals the show at the end making you want to heard more of her than maybe Amber.
