K League Classic 2015 Round 13 May 30th 31st

The K League Classic moves into round 13 this weekend just past a third of the way through the main part of the season. The highlight game this week in our opinion is the Sunday clash between in form Incheon United and K League giants Suwon Bluewings.

Updated K League Classic League Table

K League Classic 2015 League Table May 30th

The league table is still close in the middle but gaps have started to appear. Jeonbuk Hyundai have an impressive 11 point gap at the top of the table. Suwon and Jeju complete the top 3, with the next 7 sides separated by just 5 points. Busan I’Park are currently 11th with Daejeon Citizen falling away at the foot of the table.

K League Classic 2015 Round 13 Previews & Predictions

This round of games take place on Saturday (3) and Sunday (3). Games still take place in the early to mid afternoons from now until the summer (although with temperatures in the mid 20s it’s not really spring). Here are our previews of this weekends K League Classic Round 13 Games (sorry a little brief again);

Saturday May 30th 2015:

Pohang Steelers vs. Daejeon Citizen (2pm)

Pohang Steelers are winless in 5 games (although 4 of those were draws), but still sit in 4th place.
Bottom side Daejeon Citizen have just one victory all season and need to improve quickly.
Pohang are lacking form, but Daejeon are worse.
Prediction: 1 – 0

Gwangju vs. Jeju United (2pm)

Gwangju have lost 2 of their last 3 games and have slipped down to 10th place.
Jeju United are currently 3rd, but haven’t won away from home all season.
Gwangju are tight at home and Jeju are poor away, therefore we see this ending in a draw.
Prediction: 1 – 1

Jeonnam Dragons vs. Busan I’Park (4pm)

Jeonnam Dragons have lost 3 of their last 4 games.
Busan have lost two but won 2 of their previous 4 games.
Both sides are inconsistent, and honestly either could win but we see Jeonnam edging it.
Prediction: 2 – 1

Sunday May 31st 2015:

Seongnam FC vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai (2pm)

Seongnam FC crashed out of the Asian Champions League during the week, but have only lost twice this season in the league.
League leaders Jeonbuk Hyundai have won 7 of their last 8 games and have a 11 point lead at the top of the table.
Jeonbuk Hyundai look very strong at the moment and should edge this one.
Prediction: 0 – 2

Incheon United vs. Suwon Bluewings (2pm)

Incheon United have won three of the their last 4 games and that loss was last weekend vs. leaders Jeonbuk.
Suwon Bluewings have 3 wins in 5 games, but were knocked out of the Asian Champions League during the week.
This on paper looks like it will be a great game and we see an entertaining draw.
Prediction: 2 – 2

FC Seoul vs. Ulsan Hyundai (4pm)

FC Seoul have won their last 2 and are unbeaten in 4 in the league.
Ulsan Hyundai haven’t won in 8 games and losing 3 of their past 4 games.
FC Seoul will be favorites to win this one on paper, but maybe a little tired due to their Champions League game during the week.
Prediction: 3 – 1

The K League Challenge moves into it’s 12th round of the season this is the quarter of the season point. Everything is still pretty close and competitive. The highlight game of this round is on Saturday afternoon as leaders Sangju Sangmu travel to bottom side Gangwon, this looks like a possible banana skin as Sangju Sangmu failed to beat Chungju Hummel (previously bottom) last weekend.
