“Lies” by Seo In Young (KPOP Song of the Week)

Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our third for June 2015. Although there were a number of interesting new releases recently, we’ve chosen the new release from KPOP solo artist Seo In Young. The song is titled “Lies” and it was released a little over a week ago on Tuesday June 9th. In that time it has been viewed around 126,000 times on the CJENMMusic YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Lies” for our KPOP song of the week:

• Firstly the song features a great mix between the strong vocals of Seo In Young and the rapping of Kanto (from Troy).
• Secondly the video is simple but matches the songs lyrics and is interesting to watch.
• Finally Seo In Young has been around for a number of years and mixes together both her singing and acting, because of this she has a growing and loyal fanbase.
• On the negative side; although a good song it hasn’t really gained much interest since it’s release which is a shame.
