K League Classic 2015 Round 18 June 27th 28th

The K League Classic moves into round 18, with some teams leading the way and others falling behind. The highlight game this round is of course the “Super Match” between K League giant FC Seoul and Suwon Bluewings, both sides are currently in the top half and on solid form so it should (and normally is) be a good game.

Updated K League Classic League Table

K League Classic 2015 League Table June 27th

The league table is still close in the middle but gaps have started to appear. Jeonbuk Hyundai have lost some of their lead at the top but still are 7 points clear. Suwon and Pohang are just behind them, with Jeonnam, Seoul and Gwangju completing the top half. Jeju, Ulsan, Incheon and Seongnam are separated by just 2 points in 7th-10th. Busan and finally Daejeon who are 8 point adrift complete the table.

K League Classic 2015 Round 18 Previews & Predictions

This round of games take place over Saturday (4) and Sunday (2). All of the games take place in the early evening. Here are our previews of this weekends K League Classic Round 18 Games (sorry a little brief);

Saturday June 27th 2015:

FC Seoul vs. Suwon Bluewings (5pm)

FC Seoul have lost their first league game in 8 last weekend, but did progress in the cup during the week.
Suwon Bluewings have 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat from their previous 5 games.
“The Super Match / 슈퍼매치” is always a close and action packed game which is hard to call. However we see it ending all square.
Prediction: 1 – 1

Pohang Steelers vs. Gwangju (7pm)

Pohang Steelers have lost just once in 8 games, and are currently 4th.
Gwangju have won 3 and drawn 2  of their last 5 games.
Both sides are on good form, however we see Pohang at home having the edge.
Prediction: 2 – 1

Ulsan Hyundai vs. Seongnam FC (7pm)

Ulsan Hyundai have only 1 win in 13 games.
Seongnam have lost 3 and drawn 2 of their previous 5 games.
Both sides desperately need a win to kick-start their seasons, however we see it ending in a draw.
Prediction: 0 – 0

Busan I’Park vs. Jeju United (7pm)

Busan have just 1 win in 5 and find themselves down in 11th place.
Jeju United have lost 3, drawn 1 and won 1 their previous 5, and are weak away from home.
Neither side in on-form and this could go either way, although a draw looks like the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 1 – 1

Sunday June 28th 2015:

Incheon United vs. Daejeon Citizen (6pm)

Incheon United have a win, 2 draws and 2 defeats from their previous 5 games.
Daejeon Citizen have only picked up 8 points all season, but drawn 3 of their last 4.
Incheon will be slight favorites here as Daejeon haven’t shown up yet this season.
Prediction: 2 – 0

Jeonbuk Hyundai vs. Jeonnam Dragons (7pm)

League leaders Jeonbuk Hyundai have only 1 win in their last 5 games but they’re still 7 points clear.
Jeonnam Dragons have won 4 of their last 5 games.
We’re siding with in-form Jeonnam over Jeonbuk here but it will be close.
Prediction: 0 – 1
