The K League Classic continues this weekend with it’s 27th round of games. The highlight game this round of games is the clash between 2nd placed Suwon Bluewings and 10th placed Ulsan Hyundai. Ulsan have only 2 wins since the start of April, whilst Suwon are still in the title race but sometimes lack form. This game should be a home banker but might also be very interesting.
Updated K League Classic League Table
The league table is lead by Jeonbuk Hyundai who are still top and are 10 points clear. Suwon and Pohang are just behind them, with Seongnam, Jeonnam and Seoul completing the top half. Incheon top the bottom half, with Gwangju and Jeju United in 8th and 9th. Then come Ulsan, Busan and finally Daejeon who are 10 points adrift, completing the table.
K League Classic 2015 Round 27 Previews & Predictions
This round of games take place on Saturday (4) and Sunday (2). All of the games take place in the early evening at 7pm. Here are our brief previews and predictions of this weekends K League Classic Round 27 Games;
Saturday August 22nd 2015:
Suwon Bluewings vs. Ulsan Hyundai (7pm)
2nd placed Suwon Bluewings have been a little indifferent recently with 2 wins but also 2 defeats. Ulsan have found winning difficult all season, but have drawn 11 of their 26 games. Suwon will be favorites and we feel like they’ll win, but the result depends on which Suwon shows up.
Prediction: 2 – 1
FC Seoul vs. Daejeon Citizen (7pm)
FC Seoul have won 3 on the bounce with former Daejeon star Adriano scoring 3 goals in the last 2 of those games. Daejeon picked up just their second win of the season during the week vs. Gwangju, but at still 10 points adrift at the bottom. FC Seoul will be favorites here, but it won’t be a cricket score.
Prediction: 2 – 0
Seongnam FC vs. Busan I’Park (7pm)
4th placed Seongnam are the leagues form side and are currently on a 10 game undefeated league run. Their also beat 2nd placed Suwon on the road during the week. Busan on the other hand are down in 11th place, and their only win in almost 3 months came against bottom side Daejeon. Seongnam will be favorites to win this one.
Prediction: 2 – 0
Jeonbuk Hyundai vs. Incheon United (7pm)
League leaders Jeonbuk Hyundai got back to winning ways during the week coming from behind late to beat Jeonnam 2-1. Incheon United have won 2 on the bounce and are making a late run for the top half. This will be a close game but we see Jeonbuk edging it.
Prediction: 1 – 0
Sunday August 23rd 2015:
Gwangju vs. Jeju United (7pm)
Gwangju and Jeju are 2 of the leagues out-of-form sides. Gwangju lost to bottom side Daejeon during the week. Jeju United have lost 4 and drawn 1 of their last 5 games and are generally weak away from home. This will be a close game and a draw seem the likely outcome.
Prediction: 1 – 1
Jeonnam Dragons vs. Pohang Steelers (7pm)
Jeonnam Dragons have lost 2 on the bounce (both at home) and have slipped down to 6th place. Pohang Steelers have fared slightly better with 3 wins and 2 draws in 5 games. This isn’t an easy one to call, but we see Pohang having the edge.
Prediction: 1 – 2
