Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our Fourth for August 2015. Although there were a number of interesting new releases recently, we’ve chosen the new release from KPOP sub-unit VIXX LR (빅스LR). The song is titled “Beautiful Liar” and it was released on Sunday August 16th. In that time it has been viewed over 850,000 times on the RealVIXX YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Beautiful Liar” as our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song provides a strong mixer of both vocals and rap. Both Leo and Ravi demonstrate their skills excellently in this release.
- Secondly the video matches the song nicely and contains a very relatable and strong story.
- Finally VIXX are extremely popular, and vocalist Leo and rapper Ravi are two key members. So this sub-unit should prove popular and talented.
- On the negative side; the title Beautiful Liar is the same as the release by Beyoncé and Shakira back in 2006. This might cause a little confusion, but not much.
