Here in South Korea it’s pretty common to find yourself required to purchase food when visiting certain bars and restaurants. This of course isn’t a very western style and if you’re not super hungry a little difficult. However there are restaurants that offer cheaper smaller dishes which match well with drinking and socializing. Combo Pocha (꼼보 포차) is one of those kind of places. Here are our thoughts on Combo Pocha;
Thoughts: Firstly the prices of the drinks is the same as other bars and restaurants around ₩3,000 a beer but their selection is basically just Korean beer on tap and selected bottles. The food is as already mentioned very reasonably priced, smaller dishes are ₩3,000 to ₩6,000 whilst bigger items go up to ₩10,000 ($10). The Atmosphere is cozy and pretty relaxed, the booths also make it private. The Quality of the service we received was fantastic and the food although nothing amazing was without doubt worth the money. The menu also offers you the chance to sample some interesting Korean dishes such as Spicy Eel. Overall Combo Pocha is a great place to head to after having a light dinner or maybe to relax on a weekday evening.
In Conclusion Combo Pocha (꼼보 포차) is a nice mix of value and atmosphere, it’s a nice place to visit for an hour or two on a night out.
