Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our First for September 2015. Although there were a number of interesting new releases recently, we’ve chosen the new release from debut KPOP Girl Group Unicorn (유니콘). The song is titled “Huk” (헉) and it was released on Wednesday September 2nd. In that short time it has been viewed around 130,000 times on the 1theK YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Huk” as our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is cute, catchy and shows a lot of promise for a debut group as all of the members certainly show vocal or rapping talents.
- Secondly the video is fun, colorful and very watchable.
- Finally Unicorn are a debut group and therefore are still growing a fanbase and interest. However this release will gain them some fans straight away.
- On the negative side; it’s a little safe, nothing super original or different. Plus the video has basically no story.
