Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our third for September 2015. Although there were a number of interesting new releases recently, we’ve chosen the new release from Girl Group CNBlue (씨엔블루). The song is titled “Cinderella“ and it was released this past Tuesday September 8th. In that time it has been viewed over 500,000 million times on the CJENMMusic YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “Cinderella” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is lively, has a good tempo and a catchy chorus.
- Secondly the video follows a Cinderella style storyline and is interesting & enjoyable to watch.
- Finally CNBlue have a large fan base both in South Korea as well as Japan, therefore any releases will be popular but also need to live up to expectations.
- On the negative side; it’s a little similar to some of their previous releases with nothing original about it.
