Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our fourth for December 2015 and last of the year. Although there were a number of very interesting new releases this week, we’ve chosen the speical Christmas release from KPOP girl-group Red Velvet. The song is titled “Wish Tree” and it is an album track/Christmas release but officially released on Music Bank this past Friday December 25th. Here are our reasons for choosing “Wish Tree” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is powerful, seasonal and allows the group to show off their superb vocals.
- Secondly the live routine is simple and matches the emotion of the song perfectly.
- Finally Red Velvet debuted last year and have quickly become an A-List KPOP Group, 2016 could be a very big year for them.
- On the negative side; there is no official music video.
