Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our third for January 2016. Although there were a number of very interesting new releases recently, we’ve chosen the new release from hip-hop artists Lucky J. The song is titled “No Love” and it was officially released on Thursday January 7th on the 1theK YouTube Channel. In that time its been viewed around 380,000 times on the YMCent YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “No Love” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song has a cool and laid back hip hop vibe, with strong powerful lyrics.
- Secondly the music video is simple and focuses more on the song.
- Finally Lucky J consists of Jessi, J’Kyun and J-Yo. They’ve been together since 2014 and are slowly but surely growing in popularity.
- On the negative side; it might get lost vs. other more bubblegum mainstream KPOP releases.
