Hello and welcome to this weeks Modern Seoul KPOP Song of the Week, our second for February 2016. Although there were a number of very interesting new releases this week, we’ve chosen the new release from KPOP Sub-Unit AOA Cream. The song is titled “I’m Jelly Baby” and it was officially released this past Thursday February 11th, in that time it’s been viewed around 650,000 times on the 1theK YouTube Channel. Here are our reasons for choosing “I’m Jelly Baby” for our KPOP song of the week:
- Firstly the song is more in a more traditional bubblegum pop style, with a little rapping and strong vocals mixed in.
- Secondly the music video is cute, bright and features a nice little story.
- Finally AOA as a group are pretty popular and this sub-group seems to take their existing style and add something extra. Which should help develop their fan base.
- On the negative side; it’s a little plain and might get lost.
